Bishop Talmadge J. Thomas is an anointed Man of God who possesses the uncanny ability to proclaim the WORD with simplicity. He has made it his personal mission to build the Body of Christ, preach and teach the positive, life-changing, time-altering WORD of the Living God not just in a great place called Toledo but also throughout the world.
Bishop Thomas is a third-generation pastor. He acknowledged and accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on August 2, 1981, at the Unity Fellowship Baptist Church of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was licensed and ordained by the Unity Fellowship Church of Indianapolis, Indiana. He served as the pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church of El Dorado, Kansas, from 1990-1993, and the Antioch Baptist Church of Wichita, Kansas, from 1993-1999. Pastor Thomas was called to the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in December of 1999, where he serves the City of Zion, the Mt. Zion Church in Toledo, Ohio.
Bishop Thomas attended Morehouse College, Atlanta, Georgia, where he majored in Psychology and minored in Religious and Minority Studies. He received a B.S. degree in Psychology from Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas, and has further studied at the Winebrenner Theological Seminary, Findlay, Ohio. Bishop Thomas has served in many civic roles, such as the NAACP, as a Board member for the Red Cross, and as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Health Association, which has a 12 million dollar annual budget. Bishop Thomas is also an author of four books.
He is the International Bishop of the Full Care Experience and The State of Ohio Bishop for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.
Bishop Thomas is the first of three sons born to Dr. Willis C. and Diane H. Thomas. He is a brother, a friend, and a proud father.
